Description

Ants was a grey anteater with a black band on his back sandwiched between two white bands. He has black button eyes and tiny grey felt ears.

Poem

Most anteaters love to eat bugs
But this little fellow gives big hugs
He’d rather dine on apple pie
Than eat an ant or harm a fly!

Collectors note

Ants the Anteater was introduced on 30th May 1998.

A McDonald’s Teenie Beanie version of him was made in 1999 known as “Antsy”.

Ants was retired on 31st December 1998.

Currently I own about 20-30 of these guys 🙂 I love them so much. It’s such a fun treasure hunt to look for them in thrift stores and garage sales. I only treat myself to E-Bay ones every once in a while. Their long noses and cute little ears make them charming and kind of funny looking sometimes, they cheer me up when I’m down. Hands down the best beanie babies available on the market to me.
