Bodkin is made from a purple material with embroidered white eyes and an embroidered mouth. He had green thread hair and wears beige coloured dungarees with a brown belt.

He is based on the character of the same name from the TV series, Boblins.
Boblins is a children’s educational TV series. The seven characters live in a place called Rainbow’s End. Each character is a different colour of the rainbow and they have different personalities based on that colour.
There are seven Boblin Beanie Babies. These are Bodkin, Gully, Pi, Ruddle, Onny, Pinny and Yam-Yam. There is an identical Boblin to Gully that was released in the UK and Sweden called Gimmy. They both have the same style number.
