Caipora is made from a fluffy orange material with black button eyes and brown stitching for his nostrils. His face is made from a smoother orange material and his feet are brown.

FACT: Golden lion tamarins live in the heavily populated coastal area of Brazil, where
less than 2% of the rainforest remains, causing a definite threat to this primate

TIDBIT: Golden lion tamarins sleep in tree holes, which are used to conserve heat and
to protect them from predators!

Caipora the Golden Lion Tamarin was introduced on 6th October 2005.

Caipora was released as a WWF exclusive to raise funds to help the endangered Golden Lion Tamarins.

He was retired on 2nd January 2007.
