Description

The Belgian version of Champion is a fuzzy brown bear with black button eyes and a button nose with the Belgian flag on it. It wears a gold ribbon tied around it’s neck. On it’s chest is a button with the words “200 FIFA World Cup” on it.

Champion the Bear was introduced on 4th April 2002.

There were 32 different Champion bears made for the World Cup all representing different countries. This particular bear represents Belgium.

Each different Champion bear was retired on the same day that their country was eliminated.

The Champion bear for Belgium retired on 17th June 2002.
