The Mexican version of Champion is a fuzzy, brown bear with black button eyes and a button nose with the Mexican flag on it. It wears a gold ribbon tied around it’s neck. On it’s chest is a badge with the words “2002 FIFA World Cup” on it.


Mexico has appeared in 11 FIFA
World Cup tournaments; 1930,
1950-1970, 1978, 1986, 1994, 1998.
They are one of the only nations to
host 2 FIFA World Cup finals
(1970, 1986). France is the other.

There are 32 different version for Champion, each representing the countries that were in the 2002 World Cup. This particular bear represents Mexico.

Each version of Champion was retired separately on the day that country was eliminated from the 2002 World Cup.
