Kanata the Bear – Yukon

Description

Kanata is a mottled brown bear with black button eyes and a larger black nose. He wears a red, satin ribbon tied around his neck. Embroidered on his chest are three maple leaves in yellow, red and green.

Poem

Cartier who ventured far and wide
Discovered a land too large to hide
“Kanata” was the native name
But soon “Canada” it became!

Kanata was released on 30th September 2002.

His Birthday is on 14th October 2002.

He was retired on 4th February 2003.
