Punxsutawney Phil is a fuzzy, brown groundhog with brown and black button eyes and a black nose with a white chin and black thread whiskers. His hands and feet are dark brown and covered in a scale pattern.

He was retired on 11th February 2003.
This version of Punxsutawney Phil was the first made by Ty and was exclusively sold in the Chamber of Commerce shop located in Punxsutawney in Pennsylvania.
He was also released as a Ty Store exclusive called PUNXSUTAWN-e Phil.
