Iggy was released on 21st May 1999.

He was part of a McDonald’s Happy Meal promotion that ran from 21st May – 17th June 1999. Iggy was released in the first stage of the promotion that featured 12 different animals. There were also four International Bears in the promotion and a McDonald’s crew exclusive bear.
