Ty Flippables Review – Sterling the Leopard!

Tuesday, September 29th, 2020

Hi everyone!

Last weekend, I went for a lovely family day out, but came back with a couple of new additions to my collection!

This time it was the small version of the Ty Flippables, Sterling the leopard (who I am going to review today) and the Beanie Baby, Stripes the zebra (who I will be reviewing shortly).

Here we have Sterling (pictured below).

sterling ty flippables beanie booSterling, as you know, is from the Ty Flippables line, which are essentially Beanie Boos but covered in reversible sequins. Initially, I wasn’t so sure about this range, especially since the sequins on the first dinosaur Flippables (Tremor, Crunch and Stompy) seem to have a few problems flipping and getting caught at weird angles, making them look a bit messy.

But Sterling doesn’t seem to have this problem quite so badly (unless I just got lucky with this one, in which case, I apologise in advance!).

Sterling’s sequins alternate from a bright gold colour to a sparkly silver when you run your hands over them which is strangely satisfying.

Here is Sterling in his silver colour scheme from the front…

Inside Sterling’s swing tag, he has the given Birthday of 21st May and his poem reads as follows:

Leopards are glamorous! I’m no exception to the rule
In sunlight, I shimmer and shine like the finest of jewels!

My final thoughts on Sterling are that he is a really pretty Flippables addition. Like the line in his poem “In sunlight, I shimmer and shine like the finest of jewels”, he really does shimmer in sunlight quite brightly and he really is a lovely addition to my collection.

I hope you have enjoyed this review and this has given you a good idea of what Sterling looks like in reality.

Do you have this adorable little leopard? If so, add him to your collection in the “My Beanies” area!
