The Argentinian version of Champion is made from a fuzzy brown material with black button eyes and a button nose with the Argentinian flag on it. A gold ribbon is tied around it’s neck. A badge with “2002 FIFA World Cup” is attached to it’s chest.

Argentina has participated in twelve of
the sixteen FIFA World Cup
tournaments: 1930-1934, 1958-1966, 1974-
1998. Argentina hosted and won the finals
in 1978. They won again in 1986 and
placed second in 1930 and 1990.

Collectors note

This bear was made 32 different countries, all with their country’s flag on the nose of the bear. This particular version was made for Argentina.

Each version of Champion was retired on the day that the country was eliminated from the World Cup.

The Argentina version retired on 7th June 2002.
