Description

Stripes is an orange tiger covered in black stripes. He has gold and black button eyes and a peach coloured nose. He has black thread whiskers.

Poem

Stripes was never fierce nor strong
So with tigers, he didn’t get along
Jungle life was hard getting by
So he came to his friends at Ty!

Collectors note

Stripes was released on 3rd June 1996.

His Birthday is on 11th June 1995.

He was retired on 1st May 1998.

There are two variations to his poem. One reads “Jungle life was hard getting by” and the other reads “Jungle life was hard to get by”.

Stripes has two stripe variations. The first release of Stripes, which only had a 3rd generation swing tag, was dark orange with wide black stripes. This later version came with either a 4th or 5th generation swing tag and was light orange with thinner black stripes.
