Chocolate was released on 11th April 1997.

He was part of a McDonald’s Teenie Beanie Babies Happy Meal promotion which started on 11th April and was scheduled to run until 15th May 1997. However, the promotion was forced to end on 25th April when McDonald’s ran out of Teenie Beanies.
