Description

Peanut is an elephant Beanie Baby made from a deep royal blue coloured material with black button eyes and has a long, upturned trunk. The inside of her large ears are pale peach coloured and she has a royal blue coloured tail.

Poem

Peanut the elephant walks on tip-toes
Quietly sneaking wherever she goes
She’ll sneak up on you and a hug
You will get
Peanut is a friend you won’t soon forget!

Collectors note

Peanut the Royal Blue Elephant Beanie Baby was introduced on 3rd June 1995.

The Royal Blue version was quickly retired on 2nd October 1995 due to a change in direction in the colour of the elephant. Ty Warner made the decision that a lighter blue fabric would be more appealing to children. Peanut was later released in a light blue colour on 1st October 1995.

The Royal Blue Peanut is one of the most valuable Beanie Babies in existence, fetching high prices when sold.

A Beanie Buddy version of the Royal Blue Peanut was introduced in 1998, and a McDonald’s Teenie Beanie in 2000.

Counterfeit Advice

Counterfeit versions of Peanut (Royal Blue) have been reported. Please check the list below before purchasing Peanut. A counterfeit Royal Blue Peanut Beanie Baby may have:

A rougher fabric than an authentic Beanie Baby.

They may have a Shorter trunk.

Counterfeits may have a bolder font on the tush tag than an authentic royal blue Peanut.

A counterfeit could also be smaller in size than a genuine Peanut.

Genuine Peanut Beanie Babies will have smoothly sewn ears. However, a counterfeit may have uneven stitching on the ears.

Authentic royal blue Peanut Beanie Babies will ONLY have a copyright year of 1995.

The tush tag may be wider on a counterfeit.

A genuine royal blue Peanut will ONLY have black and white text on the tush tag. However, a counterfeit may have red and white writing.
