Hi everyone, I’ve just added a wonderful new Beanie Boo addition to my collection, Flint Dragon!

I ordered her from The Magical Gift Boutique and all I can say is that she looks so much better in real life than in the official stock images!

It also appears that Ty have given her a makeover! The original images I’ve seen posted by other collectors show her with a pink base fabric and covered in shiny scales. She also had bright pink wings covered in silver sparkles.

However, this latest one I have received has soft scales, not shiny ones and her wings are solid bright pink without sparkles, but are made from a kind of shimmery fabric.

I’m actually glad they’ve made this change as the pink fabric really looks amazing against her soft rainbow scales. I also found the shiny scales to be a bit scratchy and I prefer a softer feel.

The other change they seem to have made is the belly. The original Flint had a crackled, scale effect on her shiny belly. It also came in three different colour variations; pink, yellow and blue!

This one I have has a softer, shimmery belly in a yellow and blue colour. I’m yet to find out if other variations exist.

The wings and horns have also had a fabric change. The first versions had a shiny, almost spotted effect, whereas the horns on mine are still shimmery, but are more of a solid colour. The wing material has a slightly roughened pattern to it, which I actually prefer to the original!

Flint’s Birthday is on 24th November and her poem reads as follows:

I’m actually pleasantly surprised by the change in fabric on Flint. I actually prefer the softer Beanie Boos, so it was nice to see the foil scales have been removed.

I love the new belly material too, although I’m hoping that Ty have kept the three colour variations, as I love hunting for differences in Beanies.

She is so much better than I imagined her to be! Her stock images looked cute, but she is so much cuter in reality!
