Hi everyone! Something very odd has happened….Ty’s official main website and shopping website have both gone!

It all started when a new official Beanie Bouncers page, called Ty Tube, appeared that focuses on Beanie Bouncers and activities. Something that Ty call their new “entertainment website”.

So where has the official Ty website gone?

Well, it’s all a bit of a mystery! No one seems to know for sure, although there are theories being put about.

Now ty.com simply redirects to Ty Tube and shop.ty.com has no ability to purchase anything anymore, it just invites you to visit Ty Tube.

Everyone is a bit confused and frustrated as the Ty website was the only place they bought new Beanie Boos from!

Will the online store come back?

We are all a little in the dark about it. The replies from Ty about their website have been met with variations of the same reply:

“The shop is currently unavailable. Check with your local retailers for Beanies near you”.

Does this mean that the store will return? The fact that they have added that it’s “currently unavailable” seems to have left it open that the website could return, but really it’s anyone’s guess.

What are the theories surrounding the website’s disappearance?

Some suggest that the website could have been hacked. I’m not sure about this one as surely there should be some sort of public statement by now.

Others say it’s a push towards Beanie Bouncers. A possibility, especially with their focus on the market rate of value.

It could also be a publicity stunt for social media engagement. Ty aren’t strangers when it comes to publicity stunts. Remember when The End bear came out to mark the end of the Beanie Babies line, but then The Beginning came out?

There is also the possibility that they have other ideas in the pipeline that none of us are aware of yet. Again, possible.

Maybe they are literally just doing maintenance work on the website?

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

What does this mean for those who rely on the Ty website?

At this current moment, no one seems to have any information on if/when the actual website will return. This is frustrating to those that frequently use and rely on the website so I hope it gets sorted soon for you all.

I’m in the UK so am unable to order through Ty’s website directly, but I feel for those who regularly use the Ty website, as this is likely to be a huge inconvenience right now, especially with Christmas coming up.

There will be those who live near a Ty retailer, but not everyone does. It’s worth seeing if any retailers have websites to order from in the meantime. Amazon also have a selection of Beanies, although they may not have all the newest releases.
