Named after the artist, Pablo Picasso, the Beanie Baby “Picasso” is full of colour and energy! He is one magnificent bear!

Starry

Starry is based on the painting, “Starry Night” by Vincent Van Gogh. He is so beautifully drawn and his blue and yellow colouring really pops!

Scream

Scream is based on the Edvard Munch painting of the same name! I love the striking orange and red sky against the blue and turquoise of the water. Isn’t he gorgeous?!

Enchanted

Enchanted takes inspiration from The Beauty and the Beast. I love the beautiful enchanted red rose inside the glass and the dazzling star details on the bear!

Aren’t they all fabulous?!

I absolutely love them all! Picasso’s vivid colours are so eye-catching and Starry is based on one of my favourite paintings. But they are all truly beautiful!

Beanie Baby/Buddy Variations

Hi everyone!

Today is a very hot and sunny day, so I’ve been adding more Beanie requests to the website. I have had a lot of requests through recently, so if your request isn’t up there yet, it will be soon.

I was looking through my collection and one thing I’ve always loved about Ty Beanies was all the different variations, especially with the older style Beanie Babies/Buddies.

For example, the Roam Beanie Baby (pictured below) is brown, yet the Roam Beanie Buddy is white and has longer, scruffy fur on his back.

Another example of this is with the Batty Beanie Babies. Batty was released in either brown and tie-dyed colour variations as a Beanie Baby, but the Beanie Buddy versions (pictured below) were available in a brown/mocha rose and a black colour.

Beak is another example where the Beanie Baby and Beanie Buddy look very different from one another. The Beanie Baby version is made from a tie-dyed, textured material but the Beanie Buddy is covered in fluffy fur.

There were also name-change variations, like the Tabasco/Snort Beanie Babies and Doodle/Strut the rooster, which were both changed due to lawsuits.

On the first day of Vlogmas…

We have decided to take part in Vlogmas this year! This means we will be posting one YouTube video a day from today (1st December) until Christmas day!

It’s all good fun and we all need some enjoyment at the moment, so check out our very first Vlogmas video!

It’s Friday!

Hi everyone!

It’s that time of the week again! You guessed it…it’s Friday!

This week has been a mad one, but I’ve managed to get some more Beanies on to the database. I’ve mainly been focusing on email requests that I’ve received to add certain Beanies on to the site – if you have emailed me and I haven’t replied, I’m really sorry! I will try to get round to you, but I get so many emails!

The website is now nearing 3,000 Beanies on the database! That includes all Ty products, such as Beanie Babies, Beanie Boos, Flippables, etc.

The only problem with adding Beanies on to the site is that I’ve seen so many that I would like to get! There have been Beanie Babies from my childhood (I started collecting in the 90’s at the height of Beanie mania) and some newer ones that I have never even seen before!

Today, I came across this little guy and I think he’s going to be one of the next ones I want to add to me collection.

Meet Wiggy.

Wiggy is a cute sea lion with the ultra soft VelveTy fur! He looks a little like a Beanie Boo, but is actually part of the Beanie Babies collection.

His poem reads as follows:

On the pier I like to lay
Under the sun, I sleep all day!

Others that I have come across this week, via requests or just through searching are Opie (who I haven’t seen before but absolutely adore!), Seamore (for nostalgia purposes!) and Richie (a cute little beaver with buck teeth!)
