Ty Puffies

Tuesday, February 11th, 2020

We have been treated to a few new and upcoming releases from Ty. There have been Beanie Babies like Buckley and Kookoo, Beanie Boos such as Spirit and Phoenix, and the new Flippables, Confetti and Cosmo.

Well now, Ty are releasing a brand new range!

They are called Ty Puffies and so far nine have been announced and most of them resemble Beanie Boos that are already in existence.

The Puffies are similar to the Beanie Ballz that have since been discontinued, in that they are weighted at the bottom so they always land on their feet.

The nine that have been announced are:

Harmonie

Harmonie is a white unicorn with rainbow coloured spots and multicoloured, sparkly hooves, horn and inner ears. She resembles the Beanie Boo, Harmonie, although she doesn’t share her twisted gold and blue horn.

Prince

Prince is a blue husky with a white face. He also has a Beanie Boo counterpart called Prince, who is expected to be released any day!

Coconut

Now this is a Puffie that doesn’t have a Beanie Boo look-a-like, although there is an older Beanie Boo monkey called Coconut. This version of Coconut has orange fur and purple hands and feet.

Waddles

Waddles is a cute little black and white penguin. He is named after the Beanie Boo, Waddles. This version has a rounded body and little blue feet.

Owen

Owen is a rainbow coloured owl with a white face and a sparkly pink beak. He is based on the Beanie Boo, Owen, who was released in 2017.

Tabitha

Tabitha is based on the Beanie Boo cat called Tabitha, although the Puffies version wears a cute, sparkly pink bow on top of her head.

Rainbow

Rainbow was a multicoloured, pastel poodle Beanie Boo. Now she is back as a Puffie! Isn’t she just adorable?!

Fantasia

Fantasia is the last Puffie to be based on a previous Beanie Boo, also named Fantasia. In fact, Fantasia is also a brand new, upcoming Flippable!

Colby

Finally, the last Puffie (and my personal favourite) is Colby. He is a cute little purple and white mouse who doesn’t have a Beanie Boo equivalent.

What do you think of the new Ty Puffies?

Top 5 Valentine’s Day Beanie Boos

Monday, February 10th, 2020

Yesterday I posted an article about my top five Valentine’s Day Beanie Babies. Well today, I’m going to talk about my top five Valentine’s Day Beanie Boos!

So I’ll start off with one of my favourite monkeys.

1. Casanova

Casanova is special to me as I received him myself for Valentine’s Day.

This cute little brown monkey was released in 2010 and holds a large, pink love heart in his paws. He is slightly older than the other Beanie Boos I’m going to talk about today and has a purple 2nd generation hang tag.

His poem reads:

My temperature’s high and my vision’s a blur
I have a bad case of jungle
Love for sure!

Casanova was also released in a medium size and as a key clip.

2. Romeo

Romeo looks like a bit like a Boston Terrier or a French Bulldog, I’m not quite sure which, but he sure is cute!

He is a gorgeous hot pink colour and holds a shiny red heart in his jaws, ready to give to his new owner!

His poem reads:

This special day, I give you my heart
Treat it well and we’ll never part!

Romeo was also released in a medium size.

3. Junglelove

Junglelove is a pale pink giraffe covered in hot pink patches. He is such a cutie with his little red heart, tiny red hooves and large pink eyes!

His poem reads:

I’m a romantic giraffe I surely think
Even my body is red and pink!

Junglelove was also released in a medium size and as a key clip.

4. Reagan

Reagan technically hasn’t been released yet, but I just had to put her on the list!

I just think her pink, curly hair is so adorable, as is her little pink, heart-shaped nose!

She is expected to be released very soon and currently her poem is unknown (I’ll update this as soon as I find out).

And finally…

5. Dainty

Dainty has the same pink, curly fur as Reagan, and looks so cute with her tiny wings and her sparkly beak, which holds a shiny hot pink heart.

Her poem reads:

No need to say anything, There is no special lingo.
I will forever be yours, your Valentine flamingo!

Dainty was also released in a medium size.

What are your favourite Valentine’s Day Beanie Boos? Who else do you think should be on this list?

Top 5 Valentine’s Day Beanie Babies

Sunday, February 9th, 2020

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I have decided to compile a list of my top five personal favourite Valentine’s Day Beanie Babies!

1. Valentino

Valentino was one of the first Beanie Baby bears I got (along with Halo and Fuzz) so has a sentimental value to me.

His poem reads as follows:

His heart is red and full of love
He cares for you so give him a hug
Keep him close when feeling blue
Feel the love he has for you!

Although I love Valentino, there is so much false information out there about him, mainly regarding his rarity and value.

To clear things up a bit, Valentino is only worth any more than a few dollars when he has a 2nd or 3rd generation swing tag, the 2nd generation being worth several hundreds of dollars if it is in absolutely mint condition.

There was a rumour that if Valentino has a brown nose then he is worth more. The truth is that all Valentino bears had a brown nose. There was no other colour variation available.

Finally, errors in the tag add absolutely nothing to his value. Tag errors were produced in the millions and are very common among most Beanie Babies.

Having said that, I love Valentino and think he’s a lovely bear.

2. Lovely

Lovely is an adorable little white dog covered in a red heart pattern. She reminds me a bit of a dalmatian dog as the heart pattern looks a bit like red spots and I just love the bright red ribbon she has tied around her neck.

Her poem reads:

A wagging dog so cute and sweet
Is bringing you a special treat
Many warm hugs meant just for you
A more lovely pup you never knew!

So cute!

3. Garfield – Happy Valentine’s Day

I’m sure you have all heard of Garfield the cat, the popular comic series created by Jim Davis. Since he has appeared in his own TV series and even feature length movies.

The cynical, lasagne-loving feline has even been made into a few licensed Beanie Babies, one of which is the “Happy Valentine’s Day” version, pictured above.

His poem reads:

Love is splitting the
last plate of
pasta!

4. Romance

Romance is one of the newer “pot belly” design teddy bears, in fact she was the first to feature this new look.

She is a pale pink with highlights of hot pink mixed in and has a cute little heart-shaped nose.

Her poem reads:

Valentine’s Day is the perfect chance
To give some love and show romance
This little bear can hardly wait
She wants to help you celebrate!

And finally…

5. Smoothie

Smoothie was a cute white giraffe covered in bright red hearts. Her gorgeous fluffy red mane runs down her long neck and she has a tuft of bright red fur on the end of her tail.

Smoothie’s poem reads:

I will search high in the trees
For someone that I can squeeze
My Valentine will meet me there
And we will make the perfect pair!

What did you think of this list? What are your favourite Valentine’s Day Beanie Babies.

Last week I wrote an article about three dog Beanie Boos that are expected to be released soon. Well it appears that at least one of them is now available!

Spirit the German Shepherd dog is available on Amazon.com!

His Birthday is on 15th May and his poem reads:

I’m a strong German Shepherd, both smart and bold
With tremendous spirit, and a heart of gold.

There are two other dog Beanie Boos that are due to follow soon, Camilla the pink poodle and Prince the blue husky.

Have you spotted Spirit, Camilla or Prince yet?

Mini Boos Unboxing – Series 1

Monday, February 3rd, 2020

Another Poundland find this weekend!

Last week I reviewed Zappy as I found him and a few other Beanie Boos, including Orson and Nori in Poundland for only £2! As I previously mentioned, Poundland is a UK discount store that sells items for between £1-5.

This time, I came home with one of the Mini Boos!

Mini Boos are hand-painted figurine versions of Beanie Boos that come in a concealed box with a question mark on the front.

I had previously purchased one of the Mini Boos from Poundland and I received Kiki (pictured below), a cute grey tabby cat with a pink bow. When I came back to buy another one, they had all sold out! However, they now have a new batch in stock again! Yay!

On the back of the box are all the pictures of all the Mini Boos available in the series. This box happens to be from the first series. The only Mini Boo not pictured is what is known as the “Mystery Chaser”, a rare Mini Boo that is only available in smaller quantities.

Inside each box is a bagged Mini Boo figurine and a Mini Boos checklist. For some reason, I’ve ended up with two checklists. I’m pretty sure there is only meant to be one as that was what I got with Kiki originally.

Each checklist has the different Mini Boos available for each series with their picture, name and a circle that you can tick when you get each one. There is also a Mystery Chaser picture that you can tick if you’re lucky enough to get it.

Finally, it was time for me to open the box and the Mini Boo inside was…Safari! The Safari Mini Boo is based on the Beanie Boo, also called Safari, who was released in 2010.

Isn’t he adorable?

Safari will sit nicely on my desk alongside the Kiki Mini Boo I got previously. I’m sure more will join them both at some point.

Here they are pictured together.

There are currently four series of Mini Boos available, and I’m now hooked! And this is just the first series!

Do you have any Mini Boos in your collection?
