Yesterday, I posted an article about the four European exclusive moose Beanie Boos, Rasmus, Harald, Birger and Väinö. Each of these moose represented a different country in Northern Europe: Rasmus for Denmark, Harald for Norway, Birger for Sweden and Väinö for Finland.
Well I’ve just been informed that there is a fifth moose! Here he is pictured below:
This little guy is called Egert and represents Estonia, as can be seen with the Estonian flag on his chest. His Birthday is on 24th February.
So there are now five moose Beanie Boos to look out for!
Yesterday I posted an article about my top five Valentine’s Day Beanie Babies. Well today, I’m going to talk about my top five Valentine’s Day Beanie Boos!
So I’ll start off with one of my favourite monkeys.
Casanova is special to me as I received him myself for Valentine’s Day.
This cute little brown monkey was released in 2010 and holds a large, pink love heart in his paws. He is slightly older than the other Beanie Boos I’m going to talk about today and has a purple 2nd generation hang tag.
His poem reads:
My temperature’s high and my vision’s a blur I have a bad case of jungle Love for sure!
Casanova was also released in a medium size and as a key clip.
Last week I wrote an article about three dog Beanie Boos that are expected to be released soon. Well it appears that at least one of them is now available!
Prince is a new husky Beanie Boo with a gorgeous blue and white colouring. I like how his ears are a slightly darker blue than the rest of his body as it give a bit of contrast from just being a solid blue.
Next, there’s a new poodle Beanie Boo expected. Her name is Camilla.
To be honest, I’m not sure about this one. I prefer the traditional poodle look that you see with Beanie Boos like Mandy and Princess. Thats just my personal preference though. She has a kind of “puffball” body with a long neck like Orson’s. Maybe I’ll change my mind when I see her up close.
Finally, my personal favourite of the new dog Beanie Boos, Spirit!
Spirit is a german shepherd dog, and I think Ty have done an amazing job with him. His face has so much detail to make him as close to a german shepherd as a Beanie Boo could possibly be! I love his dark muzzle and the caramel brown over his golden eyes.
So that’s it! All three new dog Beanie Boos due out either next month or the month after! Stay tuned for further updates!
Yesterday, I went into town to do some shopping and came home with an unexpected bargain from Poundland! For those in the USA who follow my website, Poundland is a nationwide discount store in the UK that sells things from £1 up to about £5. They are literally in every town and city in the UK that you come across.
Anyway, I just happened to notice that they had a selection of Beanie Boos in store! The Beanie Boos in stock at the time were Icy, Asha, Orson, Aqua, Nori, Zappy and Cinnamon. They also had Aqua and Icy in the medium size and various Ty Gear. I decided to buy Zappy the Platypus as I didn’t have him in my collection yet.
Zappy was released in 2019 in both the small and medium sizes of Beanie Boo. He is a purple, pink, blue and white platypus with a fluffy body except for his lavender coloured belly, which is made from the smoother Ty Silk material. His eyes (shown below) are glittery purple and slightly smaller than that of most Beanie Boos. His flippers and bill are made from sparkly turquoise fabric, covered in glitter.
He has a 4th generation Beanie Boo swing tag with the red background and yellow “Beanie Boos” logo and “Ty” written in white. Earlier Beanie Boos had a purple swing tag with a yellow “Ty” logo and “Beanie Boos” written in a pale blue font.
Written inside right of his swing tag is his name, Birthday, which is on 15th September, and a poem. The poem reads as follows:
I’m a platypus who likes to swim So I’ll never, never need a gym!
The Zappy I bought has the version of the two-tag C1 tush tag that was distributed in the UK (with the Portsmouth address stuck over the front of the USA Oakbrook, IL address).
My overall impression of Zappy is that I just adore the colour of his fur! I think the combination of purples, blues and pinks really compliment each other well (I may be a bit biased as I just LOVE purple!). I think he makes a brilliant addition to the Beanie Boos range (and to my personal collection).
For the information of those in the UK, the price on the shelf for Zappy was £3, which I thought was a pretty good deal. However, when I went to the checkout, he was actually priced at £2! Even better!
Looking for the perfect gift for a Beanie Boo collector this Valentine’s Day? Then you’re in luck!
Aphrodite is a brand new Valentine’s Day Beanie Boo! She is a cute, bright pink and white husky with an embroidered, sparkly pink love heart on her chest.
Her Birthday is on 20th July and her poem reads:
You and I will share a love so dear Best friends we will be all through the year!
So far, Aphrodite is only available as a small Beanie Boo, but I’ll update you if there are any further sizes released.
Are you planning on giving Aphrodite as a gift this Valentine’s Day?
Katy is an adorable Koala Beanie Boo due to hit stores in March this year.
Ty announced that they would be releasing Katy to help raise funds for the Australian animal rescue organisation, WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc.) and that 100% of the profits from the sale of Katy will go towards rescuing wildlife during the devastating wildfires that are currently sweeping across Australia.
WIRES are based in New South Wales, but have been working nationally for a while now, with over 2500 volunteers rescuing animals across the country.
WIRES was recommended by the Koala Foundation and other not-for-profit organisations to receive the donations as the situation is far beyond what they can cope with and WIRES have the best resources and national reach to handle this enormous task.
My thoughts go out to those who are having to cope during this dreadful time. I can’t even begin to imagine what you must be going through. Please, stay safe.
If you wish to donate to WIRES, please do so through their website.
Katy will be released worldwide sometime in March.
Asuka is a cute, sparkly blue shark with a white belly and bright blue glittery eyes. His Birthday is on 13th December.
Asuka’s poem reads as follows:
I swim in the ocean I am a fearsome shark And if I bite you I’ll leave a nasty mark.
This little shark is exclusively available in Japan and currently not much is known about him and seems to be impossible to find anything out about him. I have found conflicting information as to whether he has even been released yet.
Any information on this elusive shark Beanie Boo would be very much appreciated!
Here is yet another adorable Beanie Boo due to be released soon!
Her name is Scrappy the Cat and she is due to be released anytime soon. Hopefully she’ll be released within the next month! Here she is pictured below:
Scrappy will be a scruffy grey and beige cat with glittery pink eyes. So far I have no information on her poem or Birthday, but hopefully I can update that soon.
Scrappy appears to have almost curly fur, which is different to any other Beanie Boos that have been released.
Today I came upon two new Beanie Boos that are set to be released soon. Their names are Asha and Orson, and they’re both Ostriches!
Asha is a pastel coloured rainbow Ostrich with a long pink neck. She will be available in both small and medium sizes.
Orson is a brown ostrich with flecks of different shades of brown throughout his feathers and a long beige coloured neck. He will also have small and medium size options.
Both ostrich Beanie Boos should be hopefully available within the next month. I just can’t wait for these two to make an appearance!
What do you think of these next additions to the Beanie Boo range?
