Hi everyone! I managed to buy the whole Bluey Beanie Baby set from The Magical Gift Boutique!

My daughter is a huge Bluey fan, so I couldn’t resist picking these up!

Let’s take a look at them in a little more detail…

MUM!

Mum Chilli Bluey Ty Beanie Baby

Mum is mother to Bluey and Bingo in the TV series. Her real name is Chilli.

She is an orange “Blue Heeler” dog with a brown patch over her right eye. I love how she is starting to get white hairs on her face. Having two daughters myself, the white hairs are TOTALLY understandable!

Mum is available to order from The Magical Gift Boutique!

DAD!

Dad Bandit Bluey Ty Beanie Baby

Dad is Bluey’s father, also known as Bandit.

He is blue, like Bluey, with dark blue over his eyes, almost like a mask (which is probably why he is named “Bandit”). He also has white hairs appearing on his face.

Dad is available to order from The Magical Gift Boutique!

BINGO!

Bingo Bluey Ty Beanie Baby

Bingo is Bluey’s little sister in the TV series.

She is orange like her Mum, with a pale yellow belly and darker orange patches on her face.

Bingo is available to order from The Magical Gift Boutique!

And finally….

BLUEY!

Bluey Ty Beanie Baby

Bluey is the main character from the TV series.

She is an energetic Blue Heeler dog and is a pale blue colour, like her Dad. She has darker blue patches over her eyes and pale blue eyebrows.

Bluey is available to order from The Magical Gift Boutique!

Special offer for the full set at The Magical Gift Boutique!

Right now, there is a fantastic special offer for the full set of Bluey Beanie Babies! They are currently at £19.99 for the full set. The usual retail price for all four would be £23.96, so thats a discount of around £4!

GET THE FULL SET HERE!

The Bluey Beanie Babies are really popular so be sure to get them before they go!

I also have one more Beanie to show you…

Beanie Bouncer – Sammy!

Sammy Siamese Cat Ty Beanie Bouncer

I also ordered the Sammy Beanie Bouncer from The Magical Gift Boutique along with the Bluey set!

I’d been meaning to buy one of the Beanie Bouncers for a while, but hadn’t got around to it until now.

Sammy is a Siamese cat Beanie Bouncer with a round, cream coloured body and a chocolate brown face. Her blue eyes are beautiful and go with the chocolate brown of her face.

Sammy Siamese Cat Ty Beanie Bouncer

The Beanie Bouncers range don’t have hang tags. Instead, they have the name of the Beanie Bouncer and their birth date on their tush tag.

The other side has the barcode that would have normally been on a hang tag.

Sammy’s Birthday is on 27th August.

My thoughts on the Bluey Beanie Baby Set (Plus Sammy Beanie Bouncer!)…

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Bluey Beanies were a very good likeness to the actual characters from the TV series.

They are also much softer than I thought they would be and very squishy. They are definitely a must for Bluey fans and Beanie Baby collectors alike!

Sammy is also awesome! I wasn’t sure about the Beanie Bouncers range, but they are really fun to bounce! The only thing I am concerned about is getting it dirty, so you would  have to make the decision whether you want to keep it as a collectible or to use it how it was intended and have lots of fun!

I won a limited edition Fraya Beanie Baby!

Monday, May 20th, 2024

Hi everyone! I’m so excited! I can’t believe I’m writing this, but I won a limited edition, numbered Fraya Beanie Baby!

I entered a competition on Instagram held by Ty UK, and couldn’t believe that I (along with a few others) won!

Fraya the flamingo is one of the latest Beanie Baby releases, along with Emmett the dinosaur and Domino the panda.

She is the most beautiful, bright pink colour with turquoise coloured, long legs and a bright yellow beak. The underside of her wings is a pistachio green. She really is quite a colourful Beanie Baby!

My limited edition Fraya Beanie Baby

Here she is! My gorgeous, sealed Fraya the flamingo! Numbered 23/30!

Limited Edition Numbered Fraya Flamingo Ty Beanie Baby

I love the little picture on the front with all three Beanie Babies from this set sat around an erupting volcano, with Fraya dipping her feet in the river.

She also has an additional 30th Anniversary hang tag. From what I gather, it is also numbered, but I haven’t opened, and will not be opening the packaging to see it properly.

You can just about see it from the picture below, just poking out from behind the “Ty” hang tag.

Limited Edition Numbered Fraya Flamingo Ty Beanie Baby

It just goes to show that it is actually worth entering the Ty Instagram competitions!

Will I be selling her?

Unfortunately no. I’m so happy to have won her and can’t see myself ever selling her. She will have a special place in my collection.

Is Fraya my first competition win?

Also, no. I have actually entered these competitions before and won a limited edition numbered Silver II Beanie Baby!

Limited Edition Numbered Silver II Ty Beanie Baby

She is numbered 22/20 and was also another Ty UK competition win!

Again, I will not be selling her as she is my absolute favourite Beanie Baby competition win!

She also has the sweetest face! How could I possibly sell her?!

Limited Edition Numbered Silver II Ty Beanie Baby

I’m so happy to have won these two, and I cannot thank Ty UK enough for holding these competitions and allowing us the chance to own one of these adorable, limited edition Beanie Babies!

The 4th series of the 30th Anniversary Beanie Babies has now been announced!

Friday, August 18th, 2023

Hi everyone!

Great news! We now know who is in the fourth set of 30th Anniversary Beanie Babies!

Yet again, they will be available to find at local retailers in the USA and UK….and here they are below!

Zip II

Zip II 30th Anniversary Beanie Baby

Zip II made his appearance in the third set in the UK. Now he will be available in the fourth series of Beanies.

He looks identical in nearly every way to the original Zip (white paws variation), except for the addition of a white tail tip.

His Birthday has moved from the 28th March to 28th June, but his poem remains unchanged.

Nanook II

Nanook II 30th Anniversary Beanie Babies

Nanook II is one of the new designs this month!

Based on the original Nanook, who was one of the cutest little husky Beanie Babies (in my opinion), he is set to be a favourite this month!

I’m not sure on a Birthday for him just yet, but I’m guessing based on previous Beanies that his poem will remain the same as the original, shown below.

Nanook is a dog that loves cold weather
To him a sled is light as a feather
Over the snow and through the slush
He runs at hearing the cry of “mush!”

I can’t wait to get this little guy and I currently have him on preorder for when he arrives!

Blue Teddy II

Blue Teddy II is the new bear addition available this month for the USA.

So far, the picture above is all that I can find on him. As you can see, he is a beautiful bright blue colour with a pastel rainbow ribbon.

So far, I’m uncertain if he will have a poem or birth date yet, but I will update his page when I get more details on him.

I’m not quite sure why he’s called “Blue Teddy II” however, as there wasn’t a “Blue Teddy” to begin with! I’m guessing they’re just sticking with them all having “II” at the end of their name.

Signature Bear II

Signature Bear II 30th Anniversary Beanie Babies

Signature Bear II was available in the third set last month for the USA. However, he will now be available in the fourth set in the UK this time.

Inside his hang tag, he is named Signature Bear 2023.

He is a gorgeous lime green colour with a bright red ribbon, and of course, the signature Ty heart on his chest.

My thoughts…

The fourth series looks amazing!

I’m really looking forward to getting Nanook II as I loved the original Beanie Baby version of him!

However, I’m a little disappointed this month that the UK only have two Beanies in the fourth series (Nanook II and Signature Bear II) instead of the three that the USA will be getting (Nanook II, Blue Teddy II and Zip II).

Series 3 of the 30th Anniversary Beanie Babies Announced!

Wednesday, July 12th, 2023

Hi everyone!

Great news! The third series of the 30th Anniversary Beanie Babies have been announced!

Again, we see a set of three previously released Beanie Babies made with much softer fur and a few colour changes.

And here they are!

From the rumours I’ve heard, Snort II will be available to the US market, whereas the UK will get Peace II instead.

The two new Beanie Babies to join the gang will be Signature Bear II and Patti II.

Signature Bear II

Signature Bear II Beanie Baby

So far I’ve not managed to gain any information on a birth date or poem for the Signature Bear II.

From the picture, he appears to be a vivid bright green with a red ribbon and the red heart with Ty Warner’s signature seen on previous Signature bears.

Patti II

Patti II Beanie Baby

I’m really excited about this new version of Patti!

She was one of my favourite Beanie Babies, so seeing this amazing change in colour is great news! I love the bright tangerine orange of her body against her azure blue beak and feet.

I’ve made a calculated guess that her poem will be the same as the original, based on others in the 30th Anniversary range, but currently I’m not sure what her birth date will be.

My thoughts…

My favourite Beanie Baby in this latest series is definitely Patti!

I’m a little disappointed that there are only two new designs, but I’ll be happy if Peace II comes to the UK!

The Original Beanie Babies are Back!

Sunday, May 28th, 2023

Hi everyone!

I have some exciting news for you all…the Original Beanie Babies are back!

Ty have released three new “original” style Beanie Babies to mark the 30th Anniversary of Beanie Babies! They are essentially re-designed versions of previous older generation Beanie Babies that you will no doubt all be familiar with but with slight differences and made from a much softer material.

Bongo II

Bongo II 30th Anniversary Beanie Baby

The first of these is Bongo II. He is based on the original Bongo with a brown tail and even shares the same poem:

Bongo the monkey lives in a tree
The happiest monkey you’ll ever see
In his spare time he plays the guitar
One of these days he will be a big star!

However, his Birthday is different and on 4th January instead of 17th August.

Bones II

Bones II 30th Anniversary Beanie Baby

Bones II is a lighter, caramel brown version of the original Bones. They are very similar in appearance but this version has very soft fur.

His poem is:

Bones is a dog that loves to chew
Chairs and tables and a smelly old shoe
You’re so destructive all would shout
That stopped, when his teeth fell out!

His Birthday is on 18th March instead of the original Bones’ Birthday of 18th January.

Valentino II

Valentino II 30th Anniversary Beanie Baby

Valentino II is perhaps the most different from his original counterpart. The original Valentino was a white colour with a red ribbon and heart, but this has been changed to a bright red with a white ribbon.

Valentino II’s Birthday has been changed from 14th February to 6th February.

His poem however remains unchanged and is as follows:

His heart is red and full of love
He cares for you so give him a hug
Keep him close when feeling blue
Feel the love he has for you!

Where will the 30th Anniversary Beanie Babies be available?

So far, Ty have stated that these will only be available in limited supply from selected small retailers. Each retailer will only receive 24 of each Beanie Baby and when they’re gone, they’re gone!

My thoughts on the new “original” Beanie Babies

As a child, I collected the original Beanie Babies back in the 90’s, so I’m extremely excited that I will hopefully be getting my hands on them all!

They have a nostalgic vibe about them but with the modern twist of being made with a softer material.

I am hoping that this is a sign that Ty will bring back the original Beanie Babies, and not only occasional/commemorative releases. I would love to see them re-release older Beanie Babies, for example, the Original Nine and maybe some of the cats (I’m thinking Chip or Prance!), but I would also love to see some new designs too!

All of this is just speculation though.

What do you think? Will Ty bring back the original Beanie Babies product line? Or is this just a one-off release?

Happy New Year!

Thursday, December 31st, 2020

Hi everyone!

At midnight tonight, 2020 is officially over! It’s been a pretty horrible year, so I’m hoping 2021 will be much better!

Two bears come to mind today. One is The End (pictured above) and the other is The Beginning.

The End was released back in 1999 as Ty announced that the Beanie Babies range would be coming to and end. His poem reads as follows:

All good things come to an end
It’s been fun for everyone
Peace and hope are never gone
Love you all and say, “So long!”

There was a huge uproar at the thought of no more Beanie Babies, that Ty decided that Beanie Babies were here to stay (yay!) and so The Beginning was released in the year 2000.

The Beginning is a white bear covered from head to toe in shiny, silver stars.

Her poem reads:

Beanie Babies can never end
They’ll always be our special friends
Start the fun because we’re here
To bring you hope, love and cheer!

I’m so glad that Ty did a U-turn on ending the Beanie Babies range as they are just so cute! Even the newer-style ones which at first I wasn’t sure about as they look similar to Beanie Boos, but they have really grown on me.

Hope you all are safe and well and that 2021 can be a better year for us all!

Happy New Year!

Tuesday, June 4th, 2019

Today is is the 4th June, which means it’s Sunburst the Crab’s Birthday!

Sunburst was a Beanie Baby released on 28th February 2007. She is a bright pink crab covered in a summery white hibiscus flower print!

Sunburst came with a 15th generation hang tag and her poem is as follows:

Here in my island paradise
The weather’s warm; the breeze so nice
I’ll sun myself on the warm sand
Life on the beach is truly grand!

This cute little Beanie was retired only 10 months later on 27th December 2007.

Do you have Sunburst in your collection?

This adorable unicorn llama is due to be released soon!

Her name is Lana and she’s a fuzzy pink llama with a sparkly silver horn.

Lana will be part of the Beanie Babies range. So far, a release date hasn’t been given, but it appears she will be available in Spring this year!

As of yet, I have no further details on her Birthday or poem, but I will update that when I know.

What do you think of Lana?

Beanie Baby Birthday – Chillingsly the Polar Bear

Monday, January 21st, 2019

Today is Chillingsly the Polar Bear’s Birthday!

Chillingsly was first released on 29th September 2006 into the Beanie Babies range.

He was a cute, fuzzy white polar bear wearing a Winter hat with pom pom tassels either side of his head, which he will need today as it is freezing!

Inside his swing tag reads:

Way up where the cold wind blows
And people wear their winter clothes
I’ll be there playing on my sled
With my warm knit cap on my head!

Chillingsly was retired only three months after his release date on 21st December 2006.

Do you have Chillingsly in your collection?
