Friday is here!

November 13th, 2020 by Rachel (admin)

It’s Friday, and quite a sunny one at Beaniepedia HQ!

This morning I took this photo of my new medium-sized Charmed Flippable, who I absolutely ADORE! I’ve never really collected the medium Beanie Boos/Flippables before (mainly because of space to keep them all), but there is something about the medium size Flippables especially because the sequins seem to flip more easily!

It’s also Friday 13th today, which is a little concerning if you’re superstitious in the year 2020 where nothing seems to be going right.

I’ve managed to get in a few more Beanie requests today (for some reason I can’t reply to one of the members who contacted me, but just to let you know I got your email and I have added some of the Beanies that weren’t on the website. I still have some to add but I will get them in shortly).

Right now, I’m going to have a tea break (excuse the bowl. It’s my daughter’s, honest!). Have a great weekend!

It’s Monday!

November 9th, 2020 by Rachel (admin)

Hi everyone!

As the title says, it’s Monday again at Beaniepedia HQ and it’s a bit of a damp day again (what’s new?!).

Last week was my daughter’s 1st Birthday and she loved her new Beanie Boo, Chase! She loves Paw Patrol and it’s her favourite character, so I just HAD to get him for her!

The only problem is he is so cute that now I want the set too!

I have also finally got hold of all the Christmas Beanie Boos and Puffies, which I’m very excited about!

Here they are pictured below:

From left to right, on the back row we have Cheer the penguin, Chimney the mouse, Snowfall the unicorn and Howlidays the dog. Just sat in front of them are Brie the mouse and Fudge the reindeer.

I love them all but I think if I had to pick, my two favourites would have to be the two mice, Chimney and Brie.

Last weekend, I also came across some bargains that might be of use to those in the UK, although it may be worth waiting until after lockdown now as they only have a limited selection online and there were more choices in-store. I found two medium-sized Flippables in TK Maxx for quite a reasonable price! Tegan the reindeer was £9.99 (I think she cost more because of Christmas coming up) and Charmed was reduced to £8.00. There were also other Flippables available and medium Beanie Boos too.

I also found both Asha and Orson Beanie Boos and Arctic and Freckles from the Beanie Babies range in Poundland for £2 each!

The only shame was that in my local Poundland they have stopped selling Mini Boos! The was a bit of a disappointment as they were only £1 each and I was looking forward to collecting them! Oh well, you win some, you lose some!

Today, I’ve been spending some time on Beanie requests that aren’t yet on the website. I apologise that I haven’t had chance to reply to your emails yet, but I will try to shortly later today. But in any case, the emails I have got through, just to let you know the Beanies you couldn’t find have now been added to the database. Hopefully I’ll get a bit more time later on today to add a few more in as well.

Have a great Monday folks and Happy Collecting!

Claire’s exclusive Beanie Boos update

November 2nd, 2020 by Rachel (admin)

Hi everyone!

I previously mentioned about three new Claire’s exclusive Beanie Boos that had been announced in France at the end of September. They included a chevron-patterned Koala, a bright pink Kangaroo and a shiny blue-silver dragon.

If you hadn’t already heard, their names have been confirmed as Holly the dragon, Kora the koala and Rory the kangaroo. I have included their pages in the database, but I apologise for the poor quality of the images as these were the only ones I could find!

So far, I’m not sure when they will be released as this is the only information I can find on them, so if you have spotted these three in-store, please get in touch!

Anyway, hope you all have a great Monday and stay safe!

Happy Halloween from Beaniepedia!

October 31st, 2020 by Rachel (admin)

Hi everyone!

Just a quick message to wish you all a Happy Halloween! Have a safe, spooky time!

Today, we took a trip out to one of our favourite places in the UK…Dartmoor! Well known for it’s ghost stories and spooky tales. Batty and Roam came along for the ride too!

Our trip was a bit short-lived because the weather turned bad, but we had a great day out nonetheless.

Also, Pandora, Spike and Radar didn’t want to be left out of the Halloween fun! Love these little Boos!

Happy Halloween folks, and stay safe! Let us know your favourite Halloween Beanies in the comments below!

Beanie Baby Birthday – Zeus!

October 23rd, 2020 by Rachel (admin)

Hi everyone! I hope you are all safe and well!

Well it’s a little bit of a grey, damp day here at Beaniepedia HQ today so I thought I’d look up which Beanie had a Birthday today and I came across….*drum roll*….

Zeus the Moose!

I just thought this little guy looked so adorable! He reminds me in some ways of an updated Chocolate, one of the Original 9 Beanie Babies.

His Birthday is 23rd October 2002 and his poem reads as follows:

With mighty antlers on my head
It’s difficult to get in bed
But I sleep better, yes I do
When I am cuddled next to you!

I also just love the name Zeus, giving the impression that he’s this big, strong, almighty being, but really he’s this cuddly little thing just asking for a hug!

Have you got Zeus in your collection?

Mini Boos section now complete!

October 20th, 2020 by Rachel (admin)

Hi everyone!

I have been asked by a few of our members recently about adding more Mini Boos to the website as it was looking a bit bare. I had recently been focusing on adding Beanie Babies and other requests and was going to update it at a later date.

However, I have now updated the Mini Boos section of the website and I am pleased to say that it is now (as far as I know) complete! Please let me know if I have missed any out!

Above (along with the Batty photobomb) are the only Mini Boos I have so far as I mainly collect Beanie Babies and Beanie Boos, but aren’t they so cute?!

Do you collect Mini Boos? If so, which are your favourites? Let us know below!

It’s mid-week already!

October 7th, 2020 by Rachel (admin)

Well it’s the middle of the week again!

As you may be aware from my Facebook and Instagram pages, we recently got back to the UK from Bulgaria, and as such, we are now in quarantine for 14 days. I don’t know if it’s being quarantine, or being back in the UK with easier access to Beanies (Bulgaria doesn’t really have a market for them), I think I’ve gone a bit Beanie-crazy recently as I’ve managed to get hold of all three Halloween Beanie Boos, Radar, Pandora and Spike! Here they all are pictured with Roam below.

I can’t decide which is my favourite. At first, being a bit of a cat-lover, I thought it might be Pandora. I just love her green eyes and little witch’s hat!

But now, I’m torn between all three!

Radar has a round, fluffy body with little white highlights and I love the colour pattern on his wings and ears. His eyes are also a little different as they almost have a “glowing” look to them.

And Spike is also ultra-adorable!

He has these cute little dark circles under his eyes (almost like myself most days!) and his little smile cheers me right up!

As well as these cuties, I also have Bruni (with sound) on the way. The place I bought him from (The Magical Gift Boutique) kindly gave me the option to have one delivered later, even though I was away at the time, so he should be on his way to me shortly (yay!)

And finally, I have ordered two more Beanie Boos. Hope (who I was unable to get while I was away) and Chase (from Paw Patrol) are currently on their way to me. I’m not actually sure which colour nose my Hope will have, but I’m thinking maybe blue? Technically, one of these two isn’t actually for me – it’s my daughter’s Birthday coming up soon and she ADORES Paw Patrol – so that makes it a tiny bit better, but a few more Beanies have caught my eye since…

Have you bought any new Beanies recently? If so, what new additions do you have to your collections? Leave a comment below!

Have a great Wednesday!

Beanie Baby Review – Stripes the Zebra!

October 2nd, 2020 by Rachel (admin)

Hi everyone!

As promised earlier this week, I am now going to review another recent Beanie Baby I purchased…Stripes!

Stripes is an adorable white zebra with airbrushed black stripes. He has large, glittery blue button eyes that really stand out from his white fur! His eyes could almost be mistaken for those of a Beanie Boo, but Stripes is from the Beanie Babies range.

His fuzzy mane and the tip of his tail are both white with subtle hints of black mixed in. His muzzle, inner ears and hooves are all pale grey and he has black stitching for his mouth and nostrils.

Stripes has the given Birthday of 17th January and his poem reads as follows:

My stripes help me to hide from danger
I run and hide when I see a stranger!

As you can see from his tush tag, Stripes is made from the trademarked VelveTy material which is very soft to the touch. It also has a subtle sheen to it which catches the light.

My final thoughts on Stripes are that he is incredibly cute and he has the most gorgeous eyes! I definitely think it was the right decision to go with the blue, glittery eyes. I am so glad to have this little guy in my collection now as I had been meaning to get him for ages!

What do you think of Stripes? Do you have him in your collection?

Ty Flippables Review – Sterling the Leopard!

September 29th, 2020 by Rachel (admin)

Hi everyone!

Last weekend, I went for a lovely family day out, but came back with a couple of new additions to my collection!

This time it was the small version of the Ty Flippables, Sterling the leopard (who I am going to review today) and the Beanie Baby, Stripes the zebra (who I will be reviewing shortly).

Here we have Sterling (pictured below).

sterling ty flippables beanie booSterling, as you know, is from the Ty Flippables line, which are essentially Beanie Boos but covered in reversible sequins. Initially, I wasn’t so sure about this range, especially since the sequins on the first dinosaur Flippables (Tremor, Crunch and Stompy) seem to have a few problems flipping and getting caught at weird angles, making them look a bit messy.

But Sterling doesn’t seem to have this problem quite so badly (unless I just got lucky with this one, in which case, I apologise in advance!).

Sterling’s sequins alternate from a bright gold colour to a sparkly silver when you run your hands over them which is strangely satisfying.

Here is Sterling in his silver colour scheme from the front…

…and from the back…

Sterling Ty Flippables Beanie Boo rear viewIsn’t he so sparkly?!

Inside Sterling’s swing tag, he has the given Birthday of 21st May and his poem reads as follows:

Leopards are glamorous! I’m no exception to the rule
In sunlight, I shimmer and shine like the finest of jewels!

My final thoughts on Sterling are that he is a really pretty Flippables addition. Like the line in his poem “In sunlight, I shimmer and shine like the finest of jewels”, he really does shimmer in sunlight quite brightly and he really is a lovely addition to my collection.

I hope you have enjoyed this review and this has given you a good idea of what Sterling looks like in reality.

Do you have this adorable little leopard? If so, add him to your collection in the “My Beanies” area!

Leave a comment below with your thoughts on this little guy!

New Claire’s Exclusive Beanie Boos!

September 28th, 2020 by Rachel (admin)

Hi everyone!

As it says in the title, there has been a sneak peek of three new Claire’s exclusive Beanie Boos!

The sign appears to be from Claire’s in France, but they may be European exclusives. I’m not sure just yet.

It looks like there is going to be a new koala with a similar design to Katy with a chevron pattern similar to Piper. I’m not too sure about this one, as we have literally just had Katy, and they just look too alike.

There will also be another Kangaroo, which looks a little bit like Kipper, but pink in colour with sparkly silver ears, hands and feet. It also appears that she will have a Joey in her pouch, just like Kipper. I know people have been wanting another Kangaroo, but to me it just looks too similar to Kipper except for the colour.

Last, but not least, there is going to be another dragon, similar to Cinder. This time, it will be a kind of icy-blue colour with hues of pale pink (kind of appropriate with Winter in the not-so-distant future). This dragon is possibly going to be my favourite of the three.

Their names are going to be Holly, Kora and Rory, but it’s not completely clear who is who. I suspect it will be left to right on the picture with the Kangaroo being Holly, Kora for the Koala and Rory the Dragon…but I could be totally wrong!

I first found out about these Claire’s exclusives from a video by YouTuber, Billyboo Adventures (go and check him out!) and in an email from one of our members (thank you!).

So far, that’s all I know about these three Beanie Boos. There has been no release date thus far and nothing much more is known about them just yet, but I’ll post an update if I find out anything further.

Have a great Monday and leave a comment below what you think about Holly, Kora and Rory!
